I've been gone from my blog far too long. Time to start posting again. I thought I'd start with this...photos of my students' work in a workshop I gave yesterday. We were printing monotypes using gelatin plates and acrylics. We had lots of fun experimenting and came up with some beautiful results as well. Thanks to Sascha, Jeanne, and Arlene for a great day!
And notice the difference between the prints and the ghost prints below (both overprinted)

I like gelatin prints so much! These are quite a mix...clean colors, interesting shapes. Monotypes great too! I think I've had the most fun with gelatin prints when I've worked with others...inspiring!
Glad you returned to blogging!
it's nice to see you are around, and creating too.
the ghost prints look so much softer..
Wow...another ATC technique perhaps?
welcome back - great prints
Great to see you here Kate ! Enjoying seeing what you are up to.
blue sky dreaming...thanks! It's nice to be back blogging. It is fun working with others - you feed off one another with energy and ideas.
grrl + dog...the ghost prints are my favourite! Sometimes I just blot the first print with a sheet of newsprint just so I can get to the ghost print.
ronna...good idea. Just name the day :)
rambling rose...thanks! Nice to be back!
art propelled...thanks Robyn!
WOW!! I love the work you did with the "Gelatin printing". Do you have a tutorial or know of a website that teaches someone how to do that type of printing. I think my daughter would be interested in trying it, she 11. But she knew she was going to be an artist at the age of 3. here is my address BHaig3553@cfl.rr.com. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks again for you site and all your artwork sharing. Bridgetgia
