black and white

I loved this technique. Apply glue to paper and dip into sand. When dry, pull a foam brush with ink over the paper, picking up the texture. When the paper was dry, I ripped it into fragments and created a collage with it. Despite using lots of colour during my paper course at Haliburton, this is where I really feel right with myself...black and white.

Great technique too...it looks so "printerly" is that a word? :) you know what I mean...love it.

robyn...I'm not surprised that you love the black and white. I think you have that kind of sensibility.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful idea. I want to try this and already thought about using coffee or tea grounds instead of sand which is not so easily available for me. I also like this idea how you used it for your wonderful abstract collage.
I'm still strolling through your very interesting blog.
I wish you the very best. Kind greetings from The EU (A).
